After multiple release date assumptions, the guessing game is put to an end by Apple of the East – Xiaomi.
Mi 10 will hit Indian shores on 8th May. The special thing about this reveal is that the Chinese giant has announced that alongside the Mi 10 there will another product coming.
The so-called another product is ”Mi True Wireless Earphones 2”, confirmed in a teaser video that aired on official Twitter of Xiaomi India. The first iteration of truly wireless earbuds first came out in last September in China and was made available in Europe earlier this year in March.
Heading to the spec game, the new Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 seem to be built with the likes of original Apple Airpods but have a sticker stem design. They automatically connect to your Xiaomi phones right of the box, loaded with MIUI that is Xiaomi’s skin for android and include 14.2mm drivers for an immersive audio experience.
Further to know, these earbuds support environmental noise reduction technology so you get disturbed minimally from outside noise. Coming to controls, they have touch gesture controls to skip/pause/previous your tracks and to answer calls. Lastly, you can even summon your digital assistant. On the inside, they are racking infrared sensor onboard accompanied by Bluetooth 5.0, sensors help these buds for a feature called in-ear wear detection. Each of the earbud weighs 4.5 grams. Battery life is up to 4hours on a single charge and the case to hold an additional 14 hours.
Mi True Wireless 2 has no colour options and will be available only in a white accent. Pricing for the Indian segment is not revealed yet but one can expect them to be launched for ₹4,999/- later this week as the Europe pricing for them is 79.99 euros (which translates close to ₹6,500). Certainly, about the price, it is something that we feel.
